Your browser runs the emulator. DOS Cloud serves compatible game files and maintains per-account installed-game state and writable DOS files on the server. That means your personal DOS drive can persist between sessions.
Anyone can see the current catalog and browse game information. Installing games, launching DOS, joining rooms, participating in chat, and submitting feedback require an account. Authentication uses email codes or supported identity providers, not a DOS Cloud password.
The catalog is made up of editions presented as shareware, playable demos, or freeware. Features depend on each packaged edition, and not every classic DOS title supports network play. DOS Cloud is not an authorized source of retail games simply because a title is historically well known.
